Agenda for The IFAB’s 139th Annual General Meeting confirmed

The IFAB has confirmed the agenda for its 139th Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will be held on 1 March 2025 at 09:30 CET in Belfast (UK) and chaired by the Irish Football Association.

The members will consider items arising from the recent Annual Business Meeting (ABM) of The IFAB, in particular the progress on FIFA’s development of Football Video Support and other ongoing trials, particularly those aimed at reducing time-wasting and improving participant behaviour.

A small number of potential amendments to the Laws of the Game 2025/26 will also be proposed, including the “Only the captain” guidelines, as well as a change to Law 8 relating to the dropped ball.

The AGM will also deal with important administrative and business matters and receive updates on various other IFAB projects.
